Before I begin, forgive me for being corny. Okay so.. I've never had a tattoo done. However, the idea of having a rose tattoo done has really been on my mind, as both of my grandma's have passed away within a year of each other. Both of their favourite flowers were roses, and I was thinking of getting a small rose tattoed on my wrist, with a couple of private words underneath . However one of my flatmates think roses are the tackiest things ever , despite the meaning behind it. What do you all think?

Thanks :)

My personal opinion is that you get a tattoo for yourself - not to please others so forget what your friends say.

If a rose means something to you then get it - choose your artist carefully and get the design right, take your time and don't be afraid to go over the design multiple times with the artist you choose - a tattoo is not just a fashion accessory - it is for life and should be treated that way.

Good idea! And I completely agree with Colonel. Get it for yourself, but if you think of your relationship as a couple, try to explain thing correctly. He should understand.
